HALLOWEEN PARTY FOOD : SCARY MASH
When it comes to organising parties at which adults will be included there is a tendancy to think beautifully presented food and tasteful drinks. Not so with halloween, let your imagination run riot. There is so much fun to be had by putting thought and preparation into the halloween food and gifts.
What tends to happen is that the children congregate in one house and set off ”Trick or Treating” together.
Whether you serve the food before they all depart or when they are finished is totally up to you but no matter when the food is wheeled out it has to be scary. So here are some ideas. There will be plenty more posts over the coming weeks and months.
SCARY MONSTER MASH
All the suggestions are easy to prepare. This is one I love
What Do I Need
8oz X Cream Cheese
8oz X Shredded Chedder Cheese
1/2 CupX Chopped Green Pepper
1/4 CupX Chopped Onions
4 X Scallions
What Do I Need To Do
1. Grab a 9 inch cake tin and line it with tinfoil.
2. Combine all the ingredients, except the scallions which will be used to decorate, and press the mixture evenly into the tin
3. Cover and leave in the fridge for 1-2 hours.
4. Slice strips off the scallions. Placing them in a bowl of cold water will help them curl.
5. When ready invert the tin onto a serving platter and garnish with the scallion curls.
6. It is now ready to serve.
At halloween think presentation. A few spiders or worms around the edge of the platter is perfect. Scary food that tastes great.
