EASTER PARTY BAGS AND BASKETS

Easter is becomming an increasingly  popular time to host a party. It is probably the earliest anyone would consider dusting down the BBQ. Even if the weather is not good enough for a BBQ organising an Easter party is a good idea. In fact if you are planning a child’s birthday party an Easter theme should be one of the options you consider.

As you are probably well aware partyproductsdirect.co.uk are specialist party bag suppliers. We work with the  top party supply merchants to bring you an incredible selection of pre filled party bagsat great prices.

Howver because it is Easter time you may want to try a few variations on the party bag option and one  possibility is an Easter basket. Below I have outlined how you canmake your own Easter basket but if you do not have the time then any of the pre filled party bags on offer will be just as good.

So What Do You Need ?

1. Thin A card, hopefully there is a decent stationery shop nearby

2. Ruler

3. Pencil

4. Scissors

5. Paper fasteners

Instructions

First thing to do is decide on the size of the base. The bigger the base the bigger the finished product.

1. Draw a grid on the A3 paper something similar to and X and O’ grid. The squares should all be the same size but should not take up all off the space as you will need to cut strips to be used as handles of the  base you want. You should then number the squares. The top row 1,2,3 and the bottom row 4,5,6

2. For the basket you will need a handle. This should be the length of three of the squares.

3. Cut the lines the length of one square up to the middle square between 1 and 2 and 2 and 3. Also cut the  lines between 4 and 5 and 5 and 6.

4. Put a dot in the middle about a half an inch from the edge of squares 2 and 5. This is where the brass  paper fasteners will go through all four layers.

5. Squares 1 and 3 will fold over square 2 and squares 4 and 6 will fold over square 5. In other words, you can fold the side squares over the middle one and decide how wide you want your basket to be.

6. Mark the spot where the dot in the middle square overlaps the other two squares. This is where you will need to pierce a hole in all three sections. This part may be difficult for young children and the adults who are helping can do the piercing.

7. Add the handle and put the brass paper fastener through all four holes at each end.

8. Your basket is ready for decoration. For Easter, lots of spring flowers and some chicks and ducklings may look good. Ribbons tied around the handles with long streamers are festive too.

I hope you do not have difficulty following the instructions and the basket is enjoyed and appreciated by it’s recipient.

EASTER PARTY CELEBRATIONS

Easter is a big occassion in the calendar even if you are not a religious

Easter parties can be really great fun especially if the weather is half decent. It can be a perfect opportunity to dust down the BBQ for it's first outing.

Easter Party Bags

person.  It is a time when the evenings start to get longer and both kids and adults are on holidays.  It is of course an extra special time for children as the Easter bunny brings all those lovely eggs. If you havn’t already done so it is an ideal time to plan and host a party.  Over the next week or so I will be posting articles on various Easter related topics such as party games, food and of course party bags.

As with all parties a little forward planning will go a long way. Start with the invitations.  Easter time is something all children look forward to so
why not get them involved in the prepararion of the invitations. Get some strong  white paper in a stationery shop and cut into egg shapes. Then
get the children to decorate with crayons / markers etc not forgetting to leave room for the party details.

No party is complete without decorations.  When it comes to plates, cups, balloons and other decorations think pastel colours. This year there are
some lovely Easter party supplies so have a look online.

With bunnies been very much part of the Easter theme carrots should play a part in the easter party food. In the posts over the next few days I will go through some easter party food suggestions in more detail.

Of course no party is complete without party bags and Easter is truely a time when you can let you imagination run wild. There are not a great deal
of pre filled party bag options directly related to Easter so you may have to asssemble them yourself. Don’t worry it is easy and you may even have fun !!!!
