PARTY DECORATIONS
A party is not a party without proper decorations. They should really start from the front / gate or door if you are hosting the party in your home. That way parents will know they are at the right house. Nothing elaborate is required, just some balloons.
If you have the space then clearing a room for the party games / activities can help prevent breakages etc. Decorationing the room should be relatively simple. All party themes now have complete ranges of tableware and decorations including banners and balloons.
Another item that is proving very popular is scene setters. Basically these are like mini rolls of wallpaper except they are easy to use and are printed in the colours and designs of the choosen theme. More importantly they are also easy to remove.
In cases where you are not hosting the party in your own home then try to have a look at the facilities before the party. A lot of rooms tend to be large, which can be very difficult to decorate. If the room is large small decorations will get “lost” so you will need to make sure you come well prepared with lots of balloons, streamers and banners. My recommendation would be to go “heavy” on the balloons and even get a helium canister.
One last point. I suggested that you start the party using decorations that fit with the party theme. The same applies to the end of the party. Make sure your party bags are consistent with the days theme. They do not need to cost a fortune and there are plenty of options from pre filled party bags you can purchase online to more elaborate ones you make yourself.
