ST PATRICKS DAY PARTY BAGS

First off for those of you who don’t already know St Patrick’s Day is on the 17th March (every year). Traditionally it was just an Irish celebration but over the past decade or so it has grown into a worldwide event.

As with any party it is essential to plan well in advance and get the decorations, tableware and costumes sorted, not forgetting the green beer of course!

And  last but not least the party bags. This is a perfect opportunity for an Irish host to make sure that people leave the  party will a little party bag full of things Irish. There is no end to the things you can put into the bag, music, food, postcards, etc anything green and Irish.

It is highly unlikely that you will be able to find fre filled party bags for your St Patrick’s Day party so don’t leave it too late, you will need to put a little thought into them.

I would start with a green paper bag, which should be easy to get online, or equally as good would be a cellophane party bag tied with a green ribbon and balloon.

What you put into the party bag really depends on the guests. If they are predominantly Irish then go easy on the green but if they are new to the whole event then any green with a Leprechuan is perfect.

So don’t forget to put the 17th March in your diary and either host or get yourself invited to a St Patrick’s Day party.
